While they are deeply divided on Moral Order issues (abortion, gay marriage...), Americans are more consistent when it comes to Moral Rules. America remains fundamentally a capitalistic society.
This is why the two main US parties (Democrats and Republicans) are located on opposite sides of the Moral Order Axis, while they are only slightly offset on the Moral Rules axis.
The US is a bi-partisan society, with minor parties playing a insignificant role in political life (unlike in most european countries).
