FRENCH 2007 ELECTIONS

The French have 12 candidates to the first round of their presidential election and at least half of them are either communists, troskyists, or green hard-liners. You gotta love the French!

Nicolas Sarkozy, the UMP candidate was the top contender and won the election but there were at least 4 candidates close together in the leading pack: Republican Nicolas Sarkozy, Socialist Segolene Royal, Extreme Rightist Jean Marie LePen, and Centrist Francois Bayrou.

But don't be fooled, by US standards, all these candidates were hard-line collectivists.
