THE MORAL POLITICS TEST

INTERDEPENDENCE

Interdependence is the notion of rewarding collective initiatives over individual ones. People who like Interdependence want to reward actions that:

  1. Increase the strengths of social ties.
  2. Empathize with less fortunate members of society.
  3. Help achieve happiness as a condition of empathy towards others.

Rewarding collective initiatives tends to create a society with a high level of economic Interdependence among members of society (e.g. redistribution of wealth).

People on this side may support:

  1. Strong government
  2. Social programs
  3. Gun control
  4. Crime prevention...

InterIndependence directly stems from the belief that collective initiatives are inherently more effective than individual ones in reaching one's ideal Moral Order.

The effectiveness of collective over individual initiatives is morally subjective; it cannot be proven outside of any moral context. As a result, the belief in Interdependence is purely a matter of personal conviction.
